French Baccalaureate

The French diploma of general education which permits entry to the higher education system in France. A high level of attainment, together with a good school report opens the way to study at prestigious establishments with reputations for excellence. This diploma can also be recognised and allow for study abroad

At Ombrosa ,the pupils begin to specialise and concentrate on their chosen subjects from the first year of their studies at the high School.

For those who choose the science option Section S, the practical approach is particularly favoured :followed up by formal procedures, critical analysis of results and work on related topics

Pupils in the Economics and Social Science Section, Section ES, are involved, in their first two years, in the puplication of a real magazine by producing, editing and publishing ‘Chronique Ombrosa’.

For 1h30 each week the pupils have free access to their teachers.

This enables them to pose particular questions and practise for orals in specific subjects. This method of working has proved to be especially effective in terms of developing good work habits.

‘Grand Oral’, Major Orals and ‘Travaux Personnels’, Personal Work directed by the teachers allow pupils to become familiar with research techniques and presentation skills.
