French Speaking Pupils

The teaching methods which are proposed make becoming bilingual natural and effective without taking anything away from the other educational goals of the nursery school.

At whatever age they begin, French speaking children adapt quickly to a life of immersion in an English speaking class environment. Understanding and then rudimentary expression in English develop after the first year and progress rapidly.

The use of French or English is structured with regard to certain references according to the situation and the speakers (school, home, parents, teachers, friends), this allows the child to develop a dual linguistic awareness.



He will then be able to build on this, taking from one linguistic bank or the other just by switching his thought processes as appropriate to the context.
