English Speaking Pupils

English speaking pupils receive British style teaching as the majority of the teachers involved in ‘English Week’ come from the UK and have qualified there. As a result the children feel valued and secure in their learning environment. They are then able to progress at their own pace. At the same time their French improves as they are taught entirely in French once every two weeks.

In the beginning, during ‘French Week’, special allowances are made for them. French as a Foreign Language lessons are provided in order to speed up the acquisition and command of French.

In becoming bilingual and achieving a high standard of education the children then have a choice as they grow older. They can choose to develop both languages within the French National system or opt for an English based programme of study, either a National or International one.
