Poppy Day – Primary Voglans

At the beginning of November, classes CE2 and CM1 d’OMBROSA Savoie created poppies from card, tissue paper and icecream sticks in reference to Poppy Day.

The pupils were taught the significance and importance of Remembrance Day. The CE2 class read the war poem ‘In Flanders Fields’ by John McCrae to understand the reason why the British wear poppies for the 11th November.

Everyone was very receptive and respectful and enjoyed making their poppy in commemoration of  World War 1.
