In order to bring to life our educational project centered on the multidimensional development of students, the school and its community draw on a wealth of expertise, diverse situations, programmes and opportunities.
All these elements are articulated throughout the schooling offered from Nursery up to High School, in accordance with the situation, needs and aspirations of the students. This ensures that the school’s approach remains relevant and inclusive for our diverse student population.
We foster in-depth bilingualism for an authentic and fluent command of both languages. Approaches differ from one student to the other, depending on their specific needs – French speaking, English speaking or allophones. Depending on their age and situation, several strategies come together: an adapted and explicit teaching of French and English, structured and extensive periods of language immersion, and close attention given to how language immersion impacts learning and academic assessment. Other opportunities for exposure to different languages and cultures are accessible within the curriculum.
The curriculum covers a large and balanced scope of subjects (sciences, maths, arts, languages, sports, humanities), taught with an in-depth academic, methodological and human approach, tailored to each subject and in line with the relevant national or international curriculum. Great attention is given to meaning and to the development of learning skills: thinking, researching, communication, self-management, social.
Enriching the curriculum through a diversity of clubs, outings, international exchanges and opportunities, brings reality to the openness that the project wants to embody. In addition to the breath of fresh air that these activities bring in the regular rhythm of the schooling, it also allows students to develop their commitment and share an accomplishment with the support of specialists.
Our curriculum, strongly rooted within the French national system, draws on its greatest strengths: secular values and citizenship, academic learning, intellectual and cultural development. Teaching is meaningful, while remaining attentive to each student. Depending on their perspective and needs, Ombrosa students receive personalised guidance and support, to help them thrive and successfully progress through their chosen education journey, whether pursuing higher education in France through Parcoursup or the International track.
The international dimension of the school genuinely embodies its core value of openness. It rests on the cultural diversity of students and staff, while building cohesion around a shared educational referential as an IB World School.
This experience develops a common sensitivity, fortified by the contact between different cultures. It also nurtures effective learning strategies, autonomy, and a deeper understanding of global issues.

Daily school life is based on welcoming and supporting students, paying close attention to the individual and collective experiences, but also to well-being, inclusion and the needs of each student. All individuals contribute with their own skills and responsibilities, taking part in success, while making the most of shared values and available resources.
