PSC1 Training for first aid

The week of April 4th was dedicated to prevention in CM1 and CM2. While CM1 were focused on learning the life-saving skills, CM2 students also study for their bike license.

Each class received a half-day training to discuss domestic risks and how to react if that happened to them.

During these workshops, students learned how react when facing a trauma, someone choking, hurt but still conscious, or bleeding. They learn how to make a tourniquet to compress, and to place someone in recovery position.

First aiders of the White Cross also taught them how to call for help the right way, and to protect the victim afterwards.

The last workshop dedicated to heart massage; students had the opportunity to train on mannequins as real as can be.

We had a great week with the White Cross, and children were glad to be involved in a civic training. We warmly thank Didier and François our first-aiders and tutor for the week!
