This year, the CDI and the Japanese Department are taking part in the Mangawa Award, biggest reader’s choice award for mangas in France!
Since the beginning of last week, Middle Schoolers are invited to discover and read a selection of 15 mangas divided in 3 categories: shojo, shonen and seinen.
In April, they will vote to elect their favorite manga in each category and thus take part in the election of the manga that will receive the Mangawa Award! This is a great chance to discover new books, share their opinion, but also to be part of a democratic process.
In addition to reading, students who participate can also take part in a drawing contest and who knows… They might even be selected to illustrate next year’s poster of the Mangawa Award!
