When art meets science: students create their own pigments – High School

An interdisciplinary project combining visual arts and science was proposed to involve volunteer students in making dyes from plants. Its aim is to develop an approach that is both experimental and cultural, with a planned presentation for Year 9 students, including an art history dimension.

The project began with a research phase carried out by the students with the support of the visual arts teacher, followed by laboratory work, the organization of which is currently being arranged with the science team.

The project enables students to take part in a concrete process that brings together scientific knowledge and artistic creativity.
