The CE1 induction day on 13 October was themed around bridges, with the overarching idea of ‘building bridges’ between pupils, classes and people.
Throughout the day, the children took part in various collaborative workshops:
- Building bridges with Kapla blocks, to experiment, imagine and build together;
- Putting together group jigsaw puzzles, organised by class, where every piece was important;
- Creating joint murals, in collaboration with another class, to encourage interaction and cooperation.
These various workshops were then followed by a sharing session, followed by a fun, musical assembly. The pupils were thus able to sing a song together about building bridges, living together and the importance of finding one’s place within a group.
A wonderful day marked by sharing, cooperation and mutual support, reminding us that, just as in building a bridge, every child contributes their own brick to the structure!
